OUR FAVORITE SINGLE STROLLERS FOR DISNEY

We took our first family trip to Disney in June 2021 for my birthday, and it did not disappoint.

Although we couldn’t get a reservation for Magic Kingdom, we spent the day at Animal Kingdom and our 2-year-old had a blast.

We’ve been traveling with our Zoe Stroller for nearly two years, so we’re a little biased when it comes to the best strollers for Disney.

Now that we’ve planned our next trip to Disney in early November, we’re hoping we can still see some Halloween decorations at Disney World for our son’s 3rd birthday.

Summer 3Dlite Convenience Stroller

Summer 3Dlite Convenience Stroller

The Summer 3Dlite Convenience Stroller is the most popular stroller for Disney. It’s one of the lightest and most affordable umbrella strollers for kids.

This is by far the best stroller for Disney if your little one plans to walk most of the time, but needs to sit every once and a while to rest.

There are multiple recline positions, so your baby or toddler can take a nap if needed. Plus, the basket underneath is large enough to fit a jacket, a small blanket, or some snacks.

Many parents love the low price, but high quality this lightweight stroller has to offer.

If you are planning to head to Disney and want to leave your large jogging stroller at home, this is definitely the best stroller for Disney.

Pros

  • Lightweight
  • Affordable
  • Compact
  • Easy to fold

Cons

  • Small sun canopy

gb Pockit+ All-Terrain

gb Pockit+ All-Terrain

The GB Pockit+ All-Terrain is an upgraded version of the original ultralightweight and compact GB Pockit Air.

What we love about the upgraded version is the larger sun canopy, recline, cushioned seating, and larger undercarriage basket.

This stroller offers lightweight compatibility, without giving up the comforts your baby or toddler will love.

Unlike the original version, the All-Terrain storage basket can hold up to 11 lbs, so no need to leave anything behind.

This compact stroller has a higher capacity than most of the strollers on our list, with a maximum weight of 55 lbs. That means if you have an older kid that needs a break, they can use this stroller.

Pros

  • Very lightweight
  • Compact
  • Higher weight capacity
  • Perfect for riding on tram

Cons

  • Expensive
  • Difficult to fold
  • Recline isn’t deep

Zoe XLC

No products found.

The Zoe XLC is one of the most popular strollers for traveling families. We have a different version of the Zoe Stroller but considered buying this model.

This travel stroller only weighs 11 lbs but offers incredible features. The sun canopy is large, which protects your little one from the hot Florida or California sun.

We love the recline, which is perfect for sleeping little ones, or for kids who want to take a break from walking.

You can easily fold this stroller when getting on the tram, so you don’t have to worry about taking up too much space with a bulky stroller.

Overall, it’s pretty obvious we are sold on the Zoe Stroller brand since we’ve been using it for well over two years.

Pros

  • Very lightweight
  • Easy to fold
  • Compact
  • Large sun canopy

Cons

  • Smaller storage basket
  • Lower weight capacity

Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger City Tour 2

If you are looking for a full-size stroller, the Baby Jogger City Tour 2 is the stroller for you. The large rubber wheels make it easy to maneuver, not just while you are at Disney, but for errands or walks around your neighborhood.

This is one of the most expensive Disney strollers on our list, but based on the reviews, I’m sure it’s worth it. Parents love how this stroller grows with your little one.

The one-hand fold option makes it easy to fold quickly before boarding the tram. This is one of the most comfortable strollers for kids. The seat is padded, so they can nap comfortably.

Of all the Disney strollers on our list, this stroller can hold up to 15 lbs in its storage basket.

If you are looking for the perfect stroller to take to Disney or for travel in general, the Baby Jogger City Tour is a great choice.

Pros

  • Lightweight
  • Includes carry bag
  • One-hand fold
  • Compact
  • Comfortable

Cons

  • Expensive
  • Velco peek-a-boo window

Jeep North Star Stroller

Jeep North Star Stroller

If you are looking for an affordable stroller for Disney, the Jeep North Star Stroller will get the job. This isn’t a fancy stroller, but you won’t spend a lot of money to get your little one around Disney.

Many parents rave about this cheap stroller. For less than $60 this stroller can get you through the airport and around Disney.

Temperature control is a great feature that allows parents to roll up the padded pack to expose mesh material to keep their little one cool.

One of the major cons of this stroller is the 3-point harness. A 5-point harness is the safety standard for car seats and strollers.

If you have an older toddler, this shouldn’t be a problem, but I don’t recommend using this stroller with a baby.

Pros

  • Lightweight
  • Very affordable
  • Tempature control
  • Parent organizer included
  • Parent cup holder

Cons

  • 3-point harness
  • Wheels

TOP 5 DOUBLE STROLLERS FOR DISNEY

I always feel for parents that need to use double strollers. As we prepare to have another little one, I’m on the lookout for the best double stroller for travel.

Some of the double strollers on the market do not meet Disney’s standards, so here is a shortlist of the most popular double strollers for Disney.

Note: I didn’t include an expensive jogging stroller because although unlikely, theft does occur. If you have a BOB or Thule stroller, I recommend leaving them at home and bringing a cheaper alternative.

Zoe Twin+ Stroller

No products found.

If you are looking for the lightest double stroller, the Zoe Twin+ Stroller is the best on the market. At just 19 lbs, this is the perfect travel stroller for parents with twins.

I highly recommend this stroller for kids close in age, since the weight requirement is 45 lbs per seat, so parents of twins can easily maneuver this popular traveling stroller.

The nearly full recline makes nap time easy, so your little one can sleep peacefully at Disney, while you get in a ride or two.

This is the only stroller that we know that offers complete coverage from the sun. We love the large sun canopy, which our son pulls down when he’s upset with us.

This model includes a snack holder, so your little one can eat on the go without making a mess. As a parent with the single version, you can’t go wrong with this stroller for Disney.

This double stroller is compatible with any Graco car seat, so for parents using the Graco brand car seat for their baby, this is the best Disney stroller for you.

What parents love about this car seat is its versatility. You can use two car seats, two stroller seats, a bench seat, or a standing platform for your big kid.

With so many possibilities, it’s no surprise parents love this versatile double stroller. One of the best features is the large storage basket, which is the largest one on our list of strollers for Disney.

You can change the seating for two car seats, a standing platform, or bench seat seating for big kids.

The biggest selling point for this double stroller is the individual removable snack trays for each seat.

If you have multiple toddlers, this can be a lifesaver. You don’t want a hangry toddler on your hands at Disney.

DISNEY WORLD & DISNEYLAND STROLLER RULES

When Disney announced the change to its stroller policy in 2019, a lot of parents were unhappy with the changes.

The biggest change was wagons are no longer permitted at Disney World or Disneyland.

There was also an update to the size of the stroller permitted inside the World’s Most Magical Place. Here are the Disney stroller requirements:

  • Strollers larger than 31” (79 cm) in width & 52” (132cm) in length are not permitted
  • Children must be removed from strollers to ride a tram (the stroller must be collapsed)
  • Strollers are permitted on elevators but are not allowed on escalators
  • Do not leave valuables with your stroller
  • Strollers may be moved by Cast Members, so do not panic

TIPS FOR BRINGING YOUR OWN STROLLER TO DISNEY

There are a few tips for bringing a stroller to Disney that will make your life easier. Here are a few things we learned about taking a stroller to Disney.

1. Practice folding your stroller

This may seem silly, but you’ll need to fold and unfold your stroller frequently while at Disney Parks if you plan to ride any trams.

You don’t want to be the one holding up the line trying to fold your stroller.

Being able to fold and unfold your stroller quickly will make life easier for you and your little one.

2. Only park in designated areas

Signs mark designated stroller parking areas. Always park your stroller in the designated area.

If you decide to park your stroller somewhere else, it’s likely a Cast Member will move it, then you will be on the hunt for your stroller, which isn’t fun for anyone.

3. Make your stroller stand out

It can be hard to find your stroller in a sea full of other strollers at Disney Parks. To make finding your stroller easier, make it identifiable.

Tip: Do not use balloons to make your stroller stand out. It will be more of a hassle than their worth.

The best way to make your stroller stand out is to put something bring on the handlebars.

We used bright pipe cleaners, but there are other options such as bandanas, or colored masking tape.

A few fun options for identifying your stroller at night are portable Christmas lights, glow-in-the-dark tape, or glow sticks.

4. Do not let kids push strollers

Kids under 13 shouldn’t push their younger siblings because Disney Parks can get crowded.

Although they may not mean to, there is a higher chance they can bump into someone or hit something.

To avoid any mishaps, I always recommend an adult or older teenager should push the stroller.

5. Leave expensive strollers at home

It’s sad to say, but there are stroller thefts at Disney Parks.

The most commonly targeted strollers are expensive brands such as BOB, Baby Zen YoYo, and UPPAbaby.

If you have one of these strollers, I recommend leaving it at home and bringing a cheaper alternative.

You just need something affordable to get around the Disney Parks. You’d hate to have an expensive stroller stolen, so leaving your thousand-dollar stroller at home may be the best option.

RENTING STROLLERS AT DISNEY

If you decide not to leave your stroller behind, you can rent a stroller at any Disney Park.

The costs between Disney World and Disneyland differ slightly, but the strollers are the same.

Disney World Stroller Rentals

You can rent a stroller at Disney World and Disney Springs. The rental price depends on the type of stroller and the number of days.

Single Stroller (50 lbs or less):

  • Daily: $15 per day
  • Multiple Days: $13 per day

Double Stroller (100 lbs or less):

  • Daily: $31 per day
  • Multiple Days: $27 per day

There is a deposit of $100 required when renting from Disney Springs.

In my opinion, it’s best to bring your stroller. The rental strollers aren’t comfortable for your little ones, and you can’t take them outside the park.

If you rent a stroller and plan to visit multiple parks, you have to return the rental stroller and pick up a new one at the other park.

Disneyland Stroller Rentals

The cost of renting a stroller at Disneyland differs from Disney World.

  • Single Stroller: $18 per day
  • Double Stroller: $36 per day

You can use your stroller in both parks, so you don’t have to worry about returning your rental stroller if you have a Hopper pass.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT TAKING STROLLERS TO DISNEY

Do I need to bring a stroller to Disneyland?

No. You don’t have to take a stroller to Disney, but it would make your life easier.

We walked nearly eight miles while we were at Animal Kingdom, so if you have a little one under 6-years-old, I recommend having a stroller.

Does my 5-year-old need a stroller?

You will walk a lot while at Disney Parks, so it’s better to have a stroller if your children get tired.

You have to remember for every step you take, they have to take two or three steps, so they’re walking twice as much as you.

I think kids under 7 years old can still use a stroller. A caveat to that is the weight requirements for many strollers.

The typical weight capacity on a stroller is 50 lbs, so if your 5-year-old weighs more than that, you’ll need to look at a higher-weight capacity stroller, such as the BOB Revolution.

Can I rent a stroller at Disney?

Yes. You can rent a stroller at Disney World, Disneyland, and Disney Springs. The cost to rent a stroller at Disney is listed above.

Will my stroller get stolen at Disneyland?

There is no way to predict if your stroller will get stolen, but it’s not likely. Theft does occur, so the best thing to do is prevention.

I recommend leaving your expensive stroller at home. If you have one of the expensive stroller brands, such as Baby Zen YoYo, BOB, or Thule, you may want to leave your stroller at home and buy a cheaper alternative.

Another way to help prevent your stroller from being stolen is using a bike cable lock. Locking your stroller is a little time-consuming, but it drastically reduces the chance of your stroller being stolen.

Oftentimes theft is a crime of opportunity, so making it inconvenient for a potential thief will make it unlikely your stroller will get stolen.

Related Post: Best Age to Travel with a Baby

Will my stroller be moved?

Yes. Your stroller can be moved by a Cast Member for several reasons. Strollers are moved to make space for other guests to park their strollers.

If you do not see your stroller parked where you left it, don’t be alarmed. It’s more likely that your stroller was moved, not stolen.
