39. Spelling Game

The spelling game is very similar to the counting game, especially since our little one is still young.

Our toddler is starting to talk more, count, and recognize objects, so we use that as a learning opportunity. Plus, with his mom being a preschool teacher, she can’t help herself.

We start with things he can recognize and spell out loud. He is in the learning stage, so he’s excited when he learns something new.

We are currently working on three-letter words such as ice, dog, cat, and hat. He recognizes those words, so they are easier for him to learn.

For preschoolers quizzing them on words, they recognize can be fun.

To make it more fun for your preschooler, let your little one quiz you. If everyone participates, they are more likely to have fun, plus it doesn’t feel like work.
